Our story

Deep roots
in our community.

Founded on Resurrection Sunday, April 2, 1961 — thirteen charter members met at Martin City Elementary School.
The first building of our own was on Blue Ridge Boulevard near the Blue River — the origin of our name.
Charlie Paine was called to be our pastor in 1980, serving faithfully for over 45 years.
In 1998, we moved to the former chapel of Richards-Gebaur Air Force Base, a block north of Calvary University.
